PC program for setting up the modules

This is a full version, which is available as a self-installing EXE file. The contained files are automatically unpacked into the directory ‘C:ProgrammeLCN-PRO’, if no other path is given. It is free for all LCN partners. LCN-PRO 6 can be activated with the unlock code of the previous versions 2, 3, 4 and 5, you don’t need a new license.

Language modules

The installation packages for the LCN-PRO contain the languages German and English. Additional languages can be installed and activated under Options | Language or Options | Language.

Network coupling program for LCN-PRO/LCN-GVS or external coupling

This program turns the PC into the host coupler, the connecting link between LCN bus and user software. Version 2 works as a Windows service: It is loaded as part of the operating system during booting. Advantage: The coupler works immediately without the need for a user to log in. This is important e.g. after a power failure. The monitor (user interface) is started by the user on demand and allows setting, deactivation, control of the communication. Opening and closing the operator interface is possible at any time and has no influence on the service program. More information in the installation guide .

LCN-PCHK for Windows Version 3.22 (09.08.2017)

• Fingerprints, sent as status message from a LCN-GFPS, are now also transferred to the external system (=Mssaa.ZFmmnnoo) – even with the Linux versions.
• New function for finding system folders introduced. Now the INI files are back where they are always found – now also for the Linux versions.

Note: Starting with Microsoft® Windows® 10, Microsoft changes the serial number of the operating system when updating. With the previous PCHK versions this is used in the LCN license key: the PCHK license is locked. In order to be able to continue to use your LCN software without restrictions, please install an update from version 3.00. If necessary, the license key must be entered again. This will protect your LCN software again, even with further Windows updates.

For your convenience, the update is available as a self-installing EXE file. The contained files are automatically unpacked into the directory ‘C:ProgrammeLCN-PCHK’ if no other path is specified. To prevent common starting, version 1 must be deleted from the ‘Autostart’ directory. Uninstalling version 1 is not necessary, but possible at any time. Version 2 can be activated with the software license of the previous version (LCN-PCHK version 1), you do not need a new license!

LCN-PCHK for Linux

The Linux variants offered here cover all common main distributions (RedHat, SuSE, Debian). Only for users with good Linux knowledge. Due to the many Linux variants on the market, support is only possible via the official LCN forum. The software license for LCN-PCHK is independent of the operating system and applies to both Windows and the Linux variants.

Global Visualization System

LCN-GVS is the visualization for the user of the buildings. The browser-based technology allows the visualisation on any device that has a browser – like PC and LapTop, mobile phone, etc. It is also possible to visualize several objects, and this worldwide. Thus, modern user requirements can be easily met. Recommendation: Visit a GVS training course before.

Note: Starting with Microsoft® Windows® 10, Microsoft changes the serial number of the operating system with an update. For GVS versions prior to 4.2 this is used in the LCN license key: the GVS license is locked. In order to be able to use your LCN software without restrictions, please enter the license key again after installing the update. If you have already downloaded version 4.2, you do not need to do anything: all further updates will use the key you have already entered. Within the scope of our friendly partnership with the installers we provide you with this software/update free of charge – a benefit especially for our mutual customers.

A particular advantage of the Global Visualization System LCN-GVS is that it can be used with practically any browser – even on smartphones and tablets. So why another app? That’s why:

• The screen of iPod, iPad and iPhone is used to the last pixel
• Easy to set up quick panels (Requires LCN-GVS version 3.3 or higher)
• Because the graphics of the quick tables are cached, the displays are impressively fast even with a bad internet connection
  In the “Administration” area, time switch points can be conveniently edited, macros called up, event detectors activated/deactivated and the connection to the buildings monitored.

With the pre-configured guest access, the app can be tested live on a sample house, with camera. Only the administration is not completely available here. The instructions for setting up the app can be found in the appendix of the GVS help. The free LCN GVS app is available in the Play Store for Android or on iTunes for iOS devices.

Software for configuring the LCN-TXR programming adapter in the ETS software.

If the LCN-TXR is to be used as a KNX programming adapter, the configuration of the ETS must be adapted. This is done by calling up the KNX_XML programme once. Especially if no knowledge of ETS is available, ready-made templates can be used that are available for some KNX push-buttons. These cover the basic functions of the push buttons and can be adapted to your own requirements if necessary.
