ISSENDORFF KG was founded in 1986 by Dipl.-Ing. Eberhard Issendorff as ISSENDORFF Mikroelektronik GmbH, based in Hanover. The original company focus was on the development of PC hardware and software as well as the distribution and setup of networks. The small company quickly advanced to become an ambitious, medium-sized enterprise. At the beginning of the 90s, it was decided to open up another business area far away from PC sales. Finally, in April 1992, the concept of the Local Control Network (LCN) was presented at the Hanover Industrial Fair. The great interest of the market quickly led to the first prototypes being ready for series production and to the first projects.<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, the company’s focus remained on the PC business until 1994, as this also served as the financial basis for LCN’s further development. From 1994 LCN became the company supporting product, which is still placed today in a strongly growing market segment. The initial reference projects were soon followed by others with ever greater technical challenges. In 1996, for example, LCN became the first bus system in the world to be used in racing and was made mandatory for the Formula 1 race track in Lausitz (Lausitzring). In 1998, DB Cargo used LCN in DB Cargo Center 1+2, and in 1999 the Main Tower in Frankfurt\/Main went into operation. At the latest with this reference, the technical possibilities of the product, the development performance of its founder and the flexibility of the company set standards in the field of building control systems that are still valid today. ISSENDORFF KG is also the only manufacturer worldwide to realize the entire hardware and software development of its products in-house. The success of LCN no longer allows a “sideline”: The business area is concentrated on LCN, the development of hardware and software is massively advanced. In 1995, the first large LCN project is realized, the Mecklenburgische Insurance Company in Hanover. A new generation of modules is introduced and the LCN-W visualization software is delivered for the user (end customer). In the second largest project with installation bus in Europe, the Main Tower in Frankfurt, LCN 1999 shows how powerful and reliable it is.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

The sales activities in Europe are expanded and additional markets in North and South America, Arabia and Asia are developed. In the highest office building in southern Germany, UPTOWN in Munich, LCN controls and regulates everything: lighting, shading, heating, cooling. It was the wish of the client, who already knew LCN from major projects. In Hungary, the largest bus project (Euro Tower, Budapest) is successfully completed with LCN. ISSENDORFF records first major successes abroad, documentation and software are fully available in many languages, including Chinese. The most modern intensive care unit in Saudi Arabia is equipped with LCN: cooling, heating, access control via transponder. Additionally, pressure control in the quarantine cells. On April 2, LCN turns 15 years old. ISSENDORFF KG is formed from the GmbH. The company receives top ratings from auditors: e.g. the top rating of 1 (range 1..16) from the savings bank association and the D&B rating: “economically stronger” than 19 out of 20 companies in the electrical industry. For the first time, ISSENDORFF is developing its own switch panels as elegant glass pushbuttons. In the large office building on the Rhine, Sky Office D\u00fcsseldorff, LCN controls and regulates lighting, shading, heating and cooling. The LCN-GVS global visualization system is delivered. With browser-based operation, LCN systems can be controlled and managed worldwide via a server using the Internet or a smartphone. Up to 12 readings per module, more calculations, much more possibilities. The LCN-GVS visualization system now also allows operation via APPs, via smartphone or tablet. The product portfolio is extended by the room controller LCN-SHD, which controls not only DALI lighting but also heating and shading. LCN is a high-end system. Not only that the individual functions of the system are very deeply developed, with many options. It is superior in performance to all European systems. \nAnd it is the only system in the world to offer a 4-step receipt and reporting system.
