An overview<\/strong><\/p>\n

The LCN-SKU is an innovative module that enables the connection of several LCN buses in large installations. A single LCN bus can accommodate up to 250 intelligent LCN modules and thus forms a segment. Up to 120 of these segments can be linked together, allowing up to 30,000 modules to work together seamlessly within a project.<\/p>\n

Powerful communication and extended capacities<\/strong><\/p>\n

Thanks to the integrated USB-C connection, the LCN-SKU offers a direct communication option both with other segments and with the local LCN bus. With ten times the computing power of its predecessor LCN-SK and generous data buffers, the LCN-SKU enables loss-free exchange of LCN telegrams via the three available interfaces.
Robust and flexible networking<\/p>\n

Communication between the segment couplers takes place via a symmetrically twisted pair of wires, such as a CAT5 cable (or higher). This connection is galvanically isolated from the rest of the circuit to ensure maximum reliability and safety. Based on the international ArcNet standard, the connection speed can be flexibly adjusted from 156 kB\/s to 5 MBit\/s.<\/p>\n

Compatibility and performance optimisation<\/strong><\/p>\n

The LCN-SKU is fully compatible with its predecessor, the LCN-SK. When used with the LCN-SK, the LCN-SKU starts with a speed of 312 kBit\/s. However, in order to utilise the full potential of the LCN-SKU, the segment bus should be converted to the recommended speed of 2.5 MB\/s.
New functions and improvements<\/p>\n

Increased speed with LCN-PRO+: The LCN-PRO+ communicates at up to 12 times the speed via the USB-C connection. This enables large systems to be read out quickly.<\/p>\n

Extended segment bus speed: The maximum speed of the segment bus has been extended to an impressive 5 Mbit\/s, which further increases the efficiency and performance of the system.<\/p>\n

Private mode for increased security: Each segment can be configured so that it does not disclose any information about other segments and does not allow parameterisation of other segments. This offers effective protection against tampering, especially for outdoor areas.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The LCN-SKU is therefore a powerful and flexible solution for coupling LCN buses in large installations. With its new functions and improvements, it offers both increased speed and enhanced security options to meet the requirements of modern building technology.
