Aletto Hotel Kudamm Berlin (Germany)

The aletto Hotel Kudamm is located right in the center of Berlin’s West-City. In the house with 3-star comfort, the LCN bus system from ISSENDORFF KG ensures convenient and energy-saving control of various components – from the shading of the guest rooms to the lighting and multi-room sound control.
No building management system was to be installed in the aletto Hotel Kudamm during a refurbishment – the electrical installation was planned conventionally and was also partially implemented in this way. In order to reduce the operating costs for the air-conditioned rooms in the summer months, the rooms were to be shaded, including a central control system. By the time this decision was made, however, some of the rooms were already finished and the walls were closed.
However, the electrical contractor, Kemke & Otto Elektroinstallationen GmbH from Berlin, had run a 5×1.5 mm² NYM cable to the windows of the rooms as a reserve in order to be able to implement room-specific blind control if necessary.
In this situation, a solution with flexible LCN was the obvious choice, as only one free wire in an installation cable is required for data transmission.
